Host: What can I keep at my desk or in my car for an emergency breakfast?

Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak: So many of us walk out the door in a hurried rush and then once we get in the car halfway down the road we realize, Oh! My gosh, I havent had a breakfast. So in that case you can actually keep a few small items in your car or in your bag even as a way to just make sure that you dont have a breakfast emergency. Some of these things include cereal, dry cereal. I love cereal personally and one of the things you want to think about is maybe a cereal that doesnt have a ton of small pieces, oatmeal squares are one that I particularly like because they are big enough, it's almost like having a snack right there and it doesnt get messy. Thats a key when you are in the car. Some other things are energy bars, really easy to keep in the car, dry fruit is another and also to maybe having some nuts. The only thing that we need to be thinking about when we have boxes of something or bags of something in the car is make sure that in all your stress and hurriedness getting to work, all of a sudden the bag or the box is empty. So in that case, consider maybe portioning some of these things out maybe on a Sunday afternoon or while you are watching some TV, that way you will make sure that you are not hitting a breakfast emergency, but you are also keeping the portion size a check.
