Does chasing around my kids count as physical activity?
Host: Does chasing around my kids count as physical activity? Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak: As a mother of a young toddler, chasing your kids around, whether it's in the morning or the evening, definitely can count as your physical activity. A couple of tips that I have for really busy families is to just enjoy the times that you have with your family. You can do this over family meals certainly, but instead of removing all of their plates from the dinner table and heading right to the TV, what about turning on some music? What about enjoying that music and dancing around and being silly with your kids? Chasing them around the house and picking up after their toys is one thing, but enjoying your family and using that time to be active as a family, dancing around silly or taking a walk around the block after dinner, all of these can really count as ways to increase your physical activity and also improve family relations.
