Dale Obrochta: Hi! My name is Magical Balloon-dude Dale. I am a multiple balloon entertainer. What we are going to learn today is a how to make a frog. What we are going to do is start off with actually using two balloons. A small balloon or a scrap of balloon will work. We are only going to need about two inches of this balloon, and we are going to fold this over and make another one inch bubble. The two bubbles are the same size. We are going to take the nozzle here and tie it, right over here.

So what we are going to do is grab it. So I twist the balloon at least three times otherwise it won't twist. Take this balloon, grab it, spin in around and lock them in. These are going to be the eyeballs. It's kind of like the flying mouse without the nose. Now, what we are going to do is actually make the frog and what we are going to do is just put this underneath my arm for now. And to make the frog, we are going to start with a loop, like we did with a teddy bear or like when we made the sword. All I have to do is a fold bend, fold twist, we are going to fold it down. We are going to feed the balloon through here.

We are going to do a pinch and twist, grab this nozzle, spin it around, pull it through once, then to the second time. Now, what we are going to do is feed the balloon through the hook. Pull it through, and what I am going to do is to make a little one inch bubble. Let's spin it a couple times. Now, I am going to take this bubble, feed it through, wrap it around. Now, what I am going to do is make a bubble. I am actually going to pop this bubble. So I am going to use my nails and pop it. Take the garbage part, throw it away. So no kids or dogs or animals get it. Tie a knot in the broken part. Wrap it around, wrap it through just getting rid of the knot basically.

Now, what we are going to continue doing is pulling this through. As we do that we create the eyes. Now, we are going to make the neck. It's going to be a small little bubble. It's going to be only about a half inch bubble showing. This rest of bubble fit in the neck. We are going to fold, squeeze and measure through about the same size.

Now, we are going to make another bubble, which is going to be a little smaller than this one. We are going to do the roll through. So we measure, it's a little smaller. Now, what we are going seriously push this balloon up through. We are going to try these apart and as we do that the other bubble will roll like through. We are going to do a one inch for the front leg. Another little bubble, another little bubble just like we did in the poodle. The side leg, twist those together.

Now, we have this little leftover part. We are going to squeeze, force a little air, make this a little softer. Take this and pull it and then wrap it around. What I am going to do is take this end of the balloon the legs, pinch it, give it a little twist. So it separates. Grab them, pull this, bring that right into center. Make a little spinning, twist the frog around. What we will have is a frog with the big legs, the front little legs and he is ready to hop out of here. Now, what we are going to do is going to add some eyes to the frog, and give it a mouth. Try his mouth, give him a nose, and next we are going to go on from the frog to a star. So we will teach you how to be a star.

I make balloon figures as a hobby and I find most of my figure designs from your videos. It would be very appreciated if you made more videos. A penguin is one that I would very much like to learn.

Thanks for taking the time! by FunwithTobi at 04/11/09 10:32AM Flag

Your videos have taught me so much! I had a small interest in learning how to make a balloon critter, I have 2 toddlers & thought it would be a cool talent to have for my kids and their friends. You are so slow & thorough in your explainations that I picked up my first balloon & made a perfect dog, Then a perfect teddy bear, and tri-colored balloon. Im hooked! I want to learn more and I wanted you to know that it was because of your wonderful teaching videos. Thanks! My kids thank you too!
