Karen Danella: Hello, I am Karen Danella with Cedarwood Soaps. Okay, now that we have poured the soap into the mold, I am going to show you, how to clean up easily. Normally, we would have some paper towels that you can get from Home Depot, but I was just a little unprepared, so I have napkins here and notice what I still have on my gloves because this will burn you. What we were doing is just wiping this off really good, before I wash it because it is a lot easy, you don't want to get all this soap in your sink.
So I am just scraping this off here the best way I can, and remember this is unplugged which just makes clean up so much easier. I like to just set them there on your paper because this is going to get folded and I am going to put it right into the trash, good -- in there really good. Okay, another bowl, now I have heard some soapers like to just leave this set overnight, so it gets hard, but I like to clean it up right away. It's a lot easier this way then letting this set and get hard, because then you have to scrape all the soap out.
Okay, after you have these wiped out really good, I am just going to collect everything and put it in the sink for right now. Collect all these and then what we can do is just throw this right out and put it in the trash. There, the counter is cleaned up. So that's the final step in making soap, I hope you enjoyed it, I had a lot of fun. Thanks for watching.

Cleaning stick blender by guitaristmom at 07/01/10 05:01AM Flag
It's easier to clean the stick blender by unplugging it and then submerging it in warm water in that pitcher for a couple of hours. This loosens whatever soap residue is behind. A good reason for doing this is in the event that you have a customer with a sensitivity to an EO you've previously used, that you get more of the previous soap off. My thinking would be also that the residue soap would also show up in your next batch, which would throw off your ingredient list slightly. Good presentati
