Monty Gray: How are you doing? My name is Monty Gray with One on One Basketball. Today we will be talking about offensive moves on the perimeter. After you have got in open and once you have received the basketball, now we are talking about the type of moves that you can make to get open to help your team score points during ball games. The first thing we need to understand is that you would have to have good communication between you and your teammate. When a defender is trying to deny you the ball, if you are starting at the low block or the post and their hand is in the passive lane and trying to deny you the ball, you have to have something to counteract that movement. So if you have great communication with your teammate, nine times out of ten what you can possibly do is walk your defense all the way up, as you walking the defense up, you will stop, change directions back pedal, hands go up to the receive the ball, at this point once you receive the ball, you are going to gear yourself up, establish your pivot foot going to a nice motion on balance in order to take a great shot.

This is a great shot which is called the Short Corner for you to make a lot of baskets and it put a lot of pressure on the defense. The next basketball move that we are going to talk about is the Jab Step or the Jab Step Series.
