Host: Is it okay for a parent to drink in a socially responsible way in front of their children?

Judith Welles Cousins: I think it's reasonable and I think it's okay and I think certainly it's going to happen that parents and other adults will drink in front of their teenagers. If they are drinking in a healthy way, if they are drinking in way that sends the message that -- I respect myself, I respect the fact that alcohol has an influence over my behavior, I am doing this in a way that's responsible then I think that's sending the right message to a teen. 1
