Crystal Norman: Hi! My name is Crystal Norman with Earth Treks Climbing Centers here in Rockville, Maryland and I am going to show you how to rock climb with Some specifics on smearing, ideal hand and foot placement, drop knees, weight shifting, dynamic movement, twist locks, rest positions and heel hooks and we are also going to close with some traversing and climbing gym etiquette. All you need to get started rock climbing is a harness, climbing shoes and a set of carabiner. Before we get started, I want to remind you that rock climbing is inherently dangerous so you always want to follow your gym's safety procedures. Before we get started, let me tell you a little about myself. I am a certified Fitness Instructor and I am also a certified USA Climbing coach here at Earth Treks. Now you know a little about me, so let's go ahead and get started rock climbing.
