Danny Green is an illustrator and graphic designer with over 20 years of experience.He has had a lifelong interest in comic illustration and has been the illustrator for numerous comic strips as well as video game graphics, movie storyboards and childrens book illustration.

He studied at the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena and Cal State Long Beach before moving to Santa Fe, NM. In addition to illustration, Danny teaches work shops at the Santa Fe Art Institute and classes at the Guilded Page art store.

The Gilded Page is a well stocked art supply and paper crafts store in Santa Fe, NM, and offers classes in water color, collage, basic drawing, cartooning, calligraphy and origami. Owner Kim Martin, an artist herself, opened the business four years ago and employs talented, local artists to teach the classes offered at her store.

Danny Green: Hi, I am Danny Green. I am an illustrator, a cartoonist and a teacher here at the Gilded Page in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Today we're going to learn how to draw some animals. I'll show you the basics of how to draw a cartoon dog, a cartoon cat, a cartoon giraffe, a cartoon lion, a cartoon horse and a cartoon monkey.

The only tools you will need are a paper, a pencil, a brush pen filled with ink, some pastels and a paper stump. Before we begin today I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I studied art at Cal State Long Beach and at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. I have done video game graphics and movie storyboards as well as children's book and comic books. So, why don't we grab our materials today and we will head on back to the classroom and I'll teach you how to draw a cartoon dog.
