Beth Wise: Hi, I am Beth Wise. I am the owner of Scribbler's Ink. It's an educational resources company here in Orlando Florida. We are here in the middle of the summer heat so we thought it would be a great time to talk about some fun summer activities with kids. So today we are going to be talking about some of these activities that are really fun. One of them that we are going to be doing involves some summer fun with water. When we talk about water we want to be really careful with children particularly small children. Most of the activities we are going to be doing are going to be in very, very shallow water or water that's in container. The first one is going to be water in container but it does have some safety features I want you to think about before you work with your children. The water itself is fine but in this particular activity we are going to be using soap and glycerine. Soap has some allergens so you want to be careful with your children so they don't get it in their eyes and the glycerine has allergens in it that children who have sensitive skin maybe allergic to it. So try this little dab on their skin to make sure that it's okay before you use these materials with your children, but for most children it's fine. I have a lot of experience with children, I have two of my own and I also have experience in the actual field of education. I have written more than 50 books for children and I have spent 25 years in the field of education, educating teachers and children and also I have written and developed -- creation and development of about a 150 acclaimed curriculums. Beyond that I was also a classroom teacher, a primary specialist, a headmaster and then I went into the field of educational publishing where I created materials for children and teachers as well as mass market materials for parents. This activity is going to be really fun. We are going to be making bubbles with children, we are going to be making our own home made soap. I know you have probably seen the soap that comes in the containers with the little bubble wands and that's the idea, we are going to be making our own home made soap which gets in the education part of it, teaches kids about using chemicals and creating their own soaps and then using air to make their own bubbles and bubble wands.

So let's get started with our bubble print art.
