Donna Wilkinson: Our second walking exercise is going to be a quad stretch. Same principles apply; you want to keep your bottom leg straight. This time what we are going to do is we are going to kick one leg out, opposite arm in the air and we are going to kick it back and grab the quad. Now, you want to make sure you maintain a nice straight line going down the side of your body this direction you dont want to be pulled out here and you dont want to be out here out to the side. So, really want to maintain that nice straight line on each of your quad kicks. So, this is what its going to look like. Gently swing forward and kick back. Get a nice stretch on that quad, standing leg nice and stray.

Push up in to the air; pull that quad back as you are stretching. Keys on this, you really want to get a nice stretch in your quad. You are also working on the balance of the opposite leg, keeping your body nice and tight and getting a good stretch throughout your body as well.
