Host: When should I bring my family with me to adopt a cat?

Bridget Speiser: You definitely want to involve all family members in the process of adopting a cat, again this cat is going to join your family and becoming an integral member of the family unit.

So you do want to make sure that everybody is included in the process. So certainly start off on your own, start to get your feelers out into the community to see what's out about there and once you have kind of made that initial assessment on your own, I would definitely recommend that you then begin to include the rest of the family members, bring all family members, it's very important that each and everyone of them gets to meet this potential new partner and go from there together as a unit to build the family.
