Host: What can adopters do to help move the adoption process along quickly?

Michelle Otis: Well, you want to find out what the criteria is for that organization. If they require that you prove that you are allowed to have dogs in your residence, then make sure you bring a copy of your lease with the pet addendum attached to it. If they ask for a proof of vaccine history for your current pet, bring that in as well. So you can always just call in advance and ask what kind of criteria they have and if there is any paper work that you should bring in that will help facilitate the process.
