That's why it is important to make sure that the shelter that you go to does a good job of carrying out a fine art of assessing their dogs for personality and they can help guide you towards the most appropriate dog for what you are looking for. But ultimately, regardless of what your expectations are, what is most important is the bond that you have with that animal and so just make sure that you fall in love before you bring that animal home.
