Is it possible to work a 9 to 5 and still care for a dog?
Host: Is it possible to work at 9 to 5 and still care for a dog?
Michelle Otis: Just because you work a full 9 to 5 job or an eight hour or more shift doesn't mean that you can't provide an excellent home for a dog or a puppy. You just have to make accommodations when necessary based on the needs of the dog. If you have a puppy and you know that you are trying to house-train this puppy, a puppy needs to go outside every couple of hours then you might have to hire a dog walker or pay someone to come in and do that for you while you are at work.

If you know that there is a behavior or training issue that you need to work out with your dog, look for training classes that are in the evening or that can compliment your work schedules so that you can sit back in because you definitely need to invest time into any dog that you bring into your home, you can work it around your schedule.
