Be Better Guys is the one stop to find out about all the things your dad didn't teach you, spiced up with a few things your girl wished you knew. Covering the fundamentals of men's clothing, grooming, and lifestyle, and with tips on entertaining and simply how to be, Be Better Guys is a practical guide written in regular guy-speak, from a couple of fellas who learned the hard way. From matching ties with shirts to keeping your nose hair trimmed; from keeping your feet presentable to understanding the basics of wine; from stocking your kitchen with tools to getting a distracted bartender's attention, Be Better Guys offers an informative, simple, and humorous way of putting yourself together.
David Boris and Brian Joyner, who are authors and public speakers, are the creators of Be Better Guys. The two met while waiting tables in a restaurant in Georgetown fifteen years ago and have remained best friends ever since. Among their mutual interests, such as music, booze, and sports, they found they both shared the desire to be respected, stylish, sophisticated men - to be better guys. Together, David and Brian created Be Better Guys in early 2006 to help men improve their quality of life by dressing, grooming, behaving and living better. Taking the lessons learned from their parents, years of reading GQ, Esquire, and other men's resources, working as succesful executives, being in the service industry, leading popular bands, and blending it with their own dating and living experiences (good, bad, and oh so ugly), David and Brian offer guidance, tips, and suggestions on how to be a better guy. They aren't models, journalistis, clothing designers, fashion industry types, or emissaries of proper etiquette. Rather, David and Brian are two guys living in the real world, passing their knowledge on to other men who want to up their own games. Think of The Guys as your older brothers... without the beatdowns.

Transcripts
David Boris: I am David Boris.
Brian Joyner: I am Brian Joyner.
David Boris: We are from bebetterguys.com the guys guide to getting a life. We are at one of our favorite stores in Washington DC today called Daddy & Son. We are talking to guys about what you should wear for specific events, what to wear when. For the events that we are going to cover, we are talking about what to wear for a wedding that is not yours, what to wear on job interview, what to wear when you are going to the club, what to wear for a funeral and formal wear.
Brian and I started bebetterguys.com a couple of years ago and on the site, we pull together many of our collective experiences from our own successes and oh, so many failures that we had trying to be better guys out in the world. We talk on the site about cooking, drinking, etiquette, grooming, life at work, dating and of course, clothing. We have been featured on a number of national television, radio shows as well as newspapers and magazines. However, we are regular guys just like you. So we are giving you tips on what to wear when, we are thinking about the types of tips that we learn, that we picked up years ago that are working for us today.
Brian Joyner: And that our bosses don't know that we have been doing this.
David Boris: Correct, you are right. One final point, a lot of guys tend to make mistakes on what to wear for certain occasions. We are going to teach you how to hit this one out of the pot. We don't believe in swinging and missing, so no Strike-outs allowed guys.
