Hi, my name is Chuck Heron from Mr. Tire, this is my Automotive Expert, Gary Goldstein. Today were showing you how to change a spare tire. We have already showed you how to stage a vehicle, making sure its on a flat surface, the wheels are chock, emergency break is on, and vehicle is in park. We are now going to show you how to place the jack under the vehicle and raise the vehicle in the air. Gary is going to place it under. There is a little spot underneath the vehicle. Some people call it a frame rail. Sometimes you will see arrows. Sometimes it will say raise here. Sometimes you will even see a rubber pad that tells you to place the jack underneath here. Once he has placed the jack underneath the vehicle, then he gets his tire jack or tire iron, whatever you want to call it, and then he starts to raise the vehicle. It takes a little bit of time to raise it up. You just want to raise the vehicle just enough so that the wheel will spin freely. Gary has now raised the vehicle for us. A good test to be sure that the vehicle is high enough, you should be able to spin the wheel freely. As you can see, the wheel is spinning freely. The next thing Gary is going to do is loosen the lug nuts completely and remove the tire from the vehicle.
