David Petersam: Hi, I am David Petersam. I am the President of Admissions Consultants and now we are going to talk about the application process. Host: Is my transcript that important?

David Petersam: Your transcript is definitely important but sometimes, I think the importance is a bit overrated and it comes then with the concept of the academic qualifications hurdle. If your GPA or GMAT indicate that you are smart enough to handle the course work without too much struggles, then anything above that doesn't really matter too much. So the difference between someone with a 3.

    8 and 3.

9 in the similar major from the similar school isn't going to account for anything in terms of the admissions decision.
