Host: How many years of work experience do I really need?

David Petersam: This answer really varies depending on the individual and a short and simple answer is apply when you are ready. When you believe that your work experience is adequate, so that you gained the most out of your MBA education and that your additional Pre-MBA work experience will give diminishing returns and helping you achieve your Post-MBA career goals, apply. For a few selected people that's going to be straight out of undergrad, for other people it's prior going to be about two years and other may need 5-7 years before they get to that point. There is no right or wrong answer, it's just really depends on the individual.
