David Petersam: Generally the answer is very little and I said very little because that recommender can better attest to your fit with that school and if they didn't think you would be a good fit at the school and because they have invested interest in that school, they want to be protective about who gets in. They are going to be a little bit more cautious about who they write letters or reference from. All this said, they carry very very little weight in the process.
