Host: How will a parent know when it's okay for a child to return to school?

Robin: Each school system is going to have its own guidelines as to when a child should return to school. Parents can be advised to best anticipate this question by knowing ahead of time what the school requires. Generally speaking if a child has had a fever, he or she must be free of the fever for at least 24 hours before returning to school. If there has been any antibiotic management, the child needs to be have received a full 48 hours of antibiotics before the child returns to school.

In the same sense child who had has nausea, vomiting and diarrhea that is a very depleting and kind of a debilitating situation for any young person and the child's strength and overall ability to attend to school activities as well as his potential to transmit any germs, needs to allow about a 48-hour period before the child returns to school.
