Transcripts
Host: How should I respond if my child is unconscious?
Robin Vick: If a child has fallen and has hit his or her head, if there is known loss of consciousness even if the child wakes and appears to be normal in his or her responses and ability to communicate and walk and talk, the child should be seen by the physician or the emergency room because of that loss of consciousness. Additionally, if a child has a seizure or a convulsion, the immediate attention from the health care team on an emergency basis is necessary.
