Charlie Anderson: Hi, Charlie Anderson here, Metal Gear Solid 4 expert. In this section, we are going to be going over weapons and items; how to implement items in certain specific times, and also customizing weapons and using Drebin points. The next thing we are going to cover is items and weapons. Weapons are on the lower right hand part of your screen. If you hold R2, it brings up your weapons, and you can scroll through them by hitting the Directional Pad. Let's scroll through that. If you also want to equip other weapon, you hit Start, and go to Weapons, you can also bring these guys over, and you can equip other weapons that you want, the ones that you want to use. You will also see this thing, it says ID Locked. You need to get through the game where you can access Drebin points then you can purchase these guns through the Drebin points, which we will cover later.

But if you want to use your weapons, you just equip them by holding the R2 button, holding the L1 button, see your target, pressing R1, fire. Now, notice, I have a suppressor on here, which limits the amount of noise my weapon makes. If I go to the AK-102, and start firing now they will see me. You can pick up a lot of weapons along the way. I am going to go pick up this RPG right here; you know as he picks it up, it will show you what it is, and it gives you a little bit of info about the weapon when you pick it up.

The next thing I am going to do is I am going to equip this weapon, because I don't have it in my inventory. To get to that, I go to Weapons, I am going to switch to this Petrobomb now, for the RPG, equip that guy. Hit Circle to bring it up, I am going to hit R2 to bring it up, RPG-7.

Now, I am going to switch my view over again by hitting the R3 button, line this guy up. I can hit Triangle if I wanted to, to bring that right there, and I blew up the APC. To use other items, you just hit L2, and it will give you a short description on what each item does. The ration is really good, especially if you are low on life, just to have it equipped on you, so that way you can -- once your health reaches 0, it will automatically use all this stuff, like the Compress; if I want to use this right now, I am so used to having to ease my stress, which would then put my accuracy up, because if you notice, I am swaying a little bit right here, just because I don't have enough sight because my stress really, really high. To equip other items you just go, hit Start, and go to Items, and you click on this, and you can equip other stuff like cardboard box, cigarettes, and you can rock out your iPod if you want, which I am going to rock out to the iPod right now, which you can see this as I scroll through this, common. Let's get some music going. Press N to use this artist and see what we have got. Radio Club, that sounds good. Actually, different songs will have different effects on screen. Alright, now we are going to talk about the customizing weapons. To do that, you just hit Start, go to Drebin's Shop. Drebin has a bunch of stuff that you can buy. You get Drebin points by picking up other weapons on the ground. You notice that some of this stuff costs a lot of money. But it's kind of cool, I mean he has all sorts of stuff that you can work with. The Red stuff for weapons is lethal, Blue is nonlethal. If you want to get some cool stuff later on in the game; a lot of stuff you want to use is nonlethal.

You can go through and buy all this stuff. Playboys are nice. You can buy ammo for all your weapons, and you can notice that you have the compatibility down on the lower right hand part of the screen that shows you what these bullets are compatible with. You can also go to weapons, to customize weapons, by bringing them up and hitting the L2 button to customize them. For this guy, I can get a Grenade Launcher, but I have to buy it, because I actually haven't picked it up yet. So I am not going to.

I want to go with the Import Custom, and I am going to customize it, and see I have a lot of stuff I can customize it. I am going to get a Dot Sight; I am just going to buy that. I don't have enough for it, do I? No, I don't. Scope? No, don't have enough for that either. So I am going to customize this. I am going to buy a suppressor, which will help get my noise down when I shoot, and that automatically equips it, and then there are other stuff you can buy for this, like Force Grip, and then, maybe a Laser Sight, maybe a Flash light later on try that, and that's pretty cool. I mean notice that it will automatically update on your weapon, right there, so that is kind of wild.

Alright, so that was weapons and items, next up we have survivability tactics.
