Ayesha: Hi! I am Aisha with Picture Perfect Makeup and today, we are showing you some professional cosmetics tips that you can use at home. Right now, we are going to talk about how to make your makeup last all day, using primers and mineral foundation. Mineral makeup is something that is really exploded on the market and I want to talk about that today. What you are going to do is start with a clean face. Next, you are going to use a makeup primer. Makeup primers come in a lot of different forms, but I like to use something that is really sheer and that helps give the pores a smooth finish. What you are going to do is just spread it on your fingers and apply to the skin, in the areas we see the most irregularities. So, normally it is going to be around the nose and forehead, where people tend to have larger pores. This is going to give the skin a really smooth finish and also acts as an anchor for your makeup.

Next, you are going to take your mineral foundations. Mineral foundations normally come in a powder form, pressed or loose and in lots of different shapes and finishes. I am going to use this formula here that is going to give a little bit of a glow. What you are going to do is take your brush, pickup some color and tap it, so you can take off the excess off the brush. You are going to want to apply the makeup in circular motions, so you can really buff the color into the skin. This is not only going to give you a more natural finish, but it is also going to make the makeup stay on longer. So, even in the two sides of her face, you can see a difference. Without makeup, you can see some of the natural redness and irregularities of the skin, but once you put on the mineral makeup, it really evens out her skin tone gives her a smooth finish.

Next what you are going to want to do is set it. Just like we talked about you re your concealer, setting with a translucent powder is important because it is going to finish the look and give you a long-lasting finish. Use the translucent powder on the same brush and use the same technique, buffing in a circular motion all over the skin until the makeup disappears. If you want to go an extra step to have your makeup really last longer, you can also use a water spray. Water sprays are great because what it is going is do, is set the makeup to your skin. Hold it at a distance and just spray it a couple of times, then press.

Now that we have primed her and gotten her foundation on, let's talk about how to contour her and really show off the contours of her bones with makeup.
