Ayesha: Hi! I am Aisha with Picture Perfect Makeup. Today, we are talking about professional makeup tips that you can use at home to make yourself your own makeup artist everyday. Right now we are going to talk about some concerns that women with mature skin have. One of the biggest concerns that we come across is hyperpigmentation in the skin. Now, this caused by a lot of different reasons such as sun damage, even hereditary reasons and you are going to have a little bit of unevenness in the skin tone. This is actually really easy to correct with cosmetics. What you are going to want to use is a primer that has a little bit of peach in it, a foundation that matches your skin tone, and a foundation brush. So, let's get started. Foundation primer is really important in giving the skin a smooth quality and also helping your makeup stay on longer. The difference between this and some other primers that you might have seen is that it actually has a little bit of a peach color in it, which will help even out the look of those dark spots. You can use a sponge, but I like to use my fingers because the sponge will end up absorbing a lot of your product and then you are just throwing it away so, this helps you save a little. Once you have got the primer blended in, then you can start with your foundation. Now her skin tone is a little bit in between two colors that I have so I am going to actually mix two, but if you have one color that matches you that is perfect. Use the foundation brush to give you a nice even application. What you want to do is look at the areas where you need the most correction. So, basically that is going to around the nose where she has a little red and then out through the cheeks, so we have some sun spots. Take the brush and apply the makeup in downward strokes. Now, a while back I know that people used to say that when you apply your makeup you always want to push up because it will lift the skin and that's a mess. So, actually the best way to apply your makeup is to in downward strokes because our skin has thousands of little microscopic hairs and as you brush down you smooth them down so you get a smoother look on the skin as well. Now, see her skin looks much smoother, has a little bit of a glow and you still get a natural finish. If you want you can follow with powder, but I am going to leave it this way just so we can maintain that really dewy glow.

Now, let's talk about how to get ready for everyday makeup.
