Mark Toorock: Hi, I am Mark Toorock from American Parkour. Today, we are showing you how to do Parkour. The next move we are going to show you is called the Tic Tac. A Tic Tac is when you redirect your momentum of a wall or other obstacle.

One of the most important things is gaining traction. So to do a good Tic Tac you want to lean away from the object a little bit, push up, be sure to turn and lift your knees in the air so that you are facing the direction of your travel. I am going to do a Tic Tac down this stair-set.

In the Tic Tac, one thing you want to make sure of is that you get a low enough step that you can propel your momentum upward from there. If you bring your foot too high you will only come directly off the wall. So I am going to show you first what happens when I bring my foot too high. You can see there is not a lot of control there. I can only come straight off the wall at not a good angle. Not where I am choosing to do.

Now I am going to use the vault to propel myself upward and you will see a lot more control in the movement. The next Parkour move we are going to show you is a Wall Run.
