Host: How do I keep pinkeye from spreading within my home to family members?

Dr. Laura D. Cook: Very important in a household, is not sharing linens and so not sharing pillow cases, not sharing towels. Fomites are the things that you touch that actually can then spread virus or bacteria and I think that's the most important way within a family. If you use contact lenses or use any kinds of eye drops, you don't want the person who is infected handling those or contamination those in any way.
