Roberto Tapia: Hi, my name is Roberto Tapia from Capoeira Sul da Bahia. Today, I am going to show you how to practice Capoeira. Now I am going to tell you how to do Meia Lua Pressa and also I am going to show you how to do a Cocorinha. I hope you will enjoy it.

First you start with the Ginga, stop in the Ginga, turn your body a little bit and now move your leg to the front a little bit. Later you are going to put your hand here crossing and kick faster. For other angle, it's going to look like this. Stop move this leg in front, keep looking at your partner and put your hand and the other leg, basically just replace your hand with your leg, like this and also keep kicking. You are going to keep like this. So in normal motion, it's going to look like this.

One more time, faster. From the other angle it's going to look like this. Stop here, remember move this and put your hand very fast and at the same time kick, stop other side, that's how you do Meia Lua Pressa.

Now I am going to tell you how to do Cocorinha. Cocorinha is other defense of Capoeira. It's basic Capoeira defense, start with the Ginga, stop, base again and move your left leg to the front and lay down and protect yourself. Make sure to protect yourself with your arm here and put diagonal your head and then the other hand you put it on the floor like this. Other advice don't touch your knee at the floor like this. That's not a correct position of Cocorinha.

Later we are going back into Ginga. Other side, the base and move this in front and going down and stay there. Keep looking at your partner. For going up, just move here, keep protecting yourself. Now I am going to show you how it looks in normal motion.

Now I am going to combine both, which is Cocorinha and Meia Lua Pressa. One more time Cocorinha, up Meia Lua Pressa. Cocorinha, up Meia Lua Pressa. That's how you do Cocorinha and Meia Lua Pressa.

We are here with Emma Goldberg from Capoeira Sul da Bahia. Now we are going to show you Meia Lua Pressa and Cocorinha doing with partners. So normal Ginga, we are just going to do, that's how you do Meia Lua Pressa and Cocorinha.

Now I am going to show you how to do Acrobatics in Capoeira.
