Roberto Tapia: Hi, my name is Roberto Tapia from Capoeira Sul da Bahia, Monitor Bucho. Today, I am going to show you how to play Capoeira. Now I am going to show you how to play Atabaque or the drum.

In Capoeira we all the time we need to practice with music for we need music for Capoeira to be more complete. Capoeira is no Capoeira if we don't have music. So Atabaque, basically you have two different kinds of sounds. First you hit in the middle with all the palm. Later you are going to hit in the border with this part of your hand like this and just let it go, let it flow-- can you hear the difference between --So in Capoeira Regional we play like this and also you can add the other hand. You can increase the speed. That's how you play Atabaque in Capoeira.
