Amy Schoen: Hi! I am Amy Schoen and we are discussing how to survive the holidays as a single. The topic we are discussing is how to prepare for the holidays. Singles can be proactive about the holidays by doing some pre-planning. There are so many things to think ahead of. First of all if you do not have a date for New Year's Eve then maybe you will get busy and do that internet daily that you keep talking about. Or maybe you just still want to take a trip and you are going out to plan where you want to go, whether it is a cruise or a ski trip. You can go and visit a friend that you have not seen in a while might he live across the country. Definitely you can spend time with your family. There are so many things that you could do for yourself during the holidays if you plan it. You can find parties that are going on for singles that you can meet other singles.
It would be really good for singles to plan their holiday activities about a month ahead. So that they can really choose to do the things that they want to do, make those plane reservations if they need to make those plane's reservations. There are many ways to find out how, what is going on for singles during the holidays. First of all you have your newspaper in your city and lot of them have weekend section so they put a lot of their activities in there. Of course, everyone knows our good friend Google and so we can definitely look on the Internet to find out what is going for singles during the holidays. As well as you have your friends and everybody is telling each other what is going on and what parties or where they are going to be? So tap into that network.
So as a single it is always good to, a month ahead before maybe some time in October, start thinking about the holidays and what you want for yourself? What do you want to accomplish? How do you want the holidays to be for you? And to do some forethought and planning, do you want to be make sure that you spend time with your family? Do you want to plan a trip? Do you want to be with your friends? And what would that look like? With a little planning you could have a wonderful holiday season.
