Mary Gallagher-Stout: Hi, I am Mary Gallagher-Stout. Today we are painting glass ornaments and we are going to try my second method which is not shaking, it is just pouring stripes in to the bauble itself. So, you first need to remove the lid, very easy you want to pour in a little bit of your acrylic medium so we can get the paint to just swirl really easily and you are going to just swirl it around and get really good, full coverage of the medium within the bauble itself and then when you are finished, you are going to dump out the medium into a bucket or a sink. We are going to use two colors and you can use as many as you like. In this case, we are just going to be using Cobalt Teal and Ultramarine Blue. So I am going to put it on its side and just squirt some of the teal down the side. And I am going to just run it along the edge and now I am going to pour it out and for the other side I am going to start the blue on the bottom of this and you will see that the paint is moving because of the medium.

So it is not going to be perfect stripes, thats why they are -- it is really more beautiful when it is not perfect. So we are going to squirt a little on this side and you have to work fast because it is a fluid acrylic and it moves quickly. So you have to be moving quickly with it as well. So we are just going to dump that out in to our bucket or our sink and you do not want to shake it because we do not want to blend it and you are starting to build stripes. So you can do another stripe of the darker teal on or the Ultramarine Blue on this side wherever you are empty and you really just kind of need to look at the bauble itself to see where the paint needs to go and you are just going to continue to fill in where you want to put extra stripes and you are going to be careful not to shake it because when you shake it, you will be blending it and that is defeating the purpose of the stripe. This one is of full of stripes. I am very happy with it. So I am going to turn it upside down and put it in to my egg crate and let it dry overnight and then I am going to check it in the morning, put my little finger in and test to see if it is wet and if it is dry, I am going to go ahead and pop the cap in and hang it on my Christmas tree. Coming up next, I am going to show you how to create an ornament without the acrylic medium.
