Hi guys! My name is Moe Harris and for the past few years I have been a competitive flair bartender. I have competed nationally and internationally and have won a couple. Today, Im going to show you some of the secrets to what were doing, not only how to make some great cocktails, also what you need to get ready to make these great cocktails. In addition to that, were going to learn some cool bar stuff.

First things first, bottle opener, how you can open your beers, you need one of these bad boys. They do come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Find one thats best for you. This is really good for commercial bar, does fit right in your back pocket right here. But again, if youre going at home, you might not this, just any basic bottle opener will work. An essential ingredient in many drinks is going to be ice stand. You dont want to be grabbing ice with your hands obviously, so youre going to need to grab yourself in ice scoop. This is going to be great, it not only will prevent your hands from getting cold; its going to prevent your customers from having hand in the ice. Some drinks youre going to need to mix up and weve got a few basic mixing containers here. Weve got this bartend Boston Shaker, weve got this little short shaker, sometimes called the cheater tin and weve got here basic mixing glass. Different drinks can be mixed in a variety of different ways. Oftentimes, a bartender will make a drink inhere, so that everybody can see what goes in their drink. A cap with a Boston shaker and separate that. This is oftentimes called the cheater shaker, this is often used in high volumes bars, college bars, sports bars and nightclubs. We can see all the bartenders essentially making everything in their Boston shaker. Cap in it up and just mix in like that. Anyway, find whats best for you. These are available in all different types of stores and all types of places. A barspoon is great sometimes for spooning things or do a drink, also for steering some drinks up, as well as, layering some drinks, if you hold the spoon upside down, you can basically pour a liquid over the back then its going to lay down gently on top of the other liquid as opposed to just splashing right down into it. Pour spouts at home youre going to need some pour spouts. Again, these are available in a variety of designs. Basically, just figure out which one is best for your. They all pretty much serve the same purpose but it controls the rate in which the alcohols leaves the bottle so that you are not pouring way too much into a drink. You are going to want some pour spouts since its going to help with the accuracy and finally, we have a strainer here and what a strainer is going to do is after you do chill a drink, all its going to do is allow you to pour the drink without having the ice going to the drink; it strains it if you will, hence the word strainer. Anyways, with these basic tools and your basic bar, the party is just about ready to begin.
