Tu-Anh Nguyen: Hi! I am Tu-Anh with Polished by Tu-Anh. I am showing you how to apply wedding day makeup on fair to medium complexion. And now I am going to show you how to prep your complexion using concealer, foundation, powder and blush. We have our model here Kelly and I am going to apply concealer first on all over her eyes because if you see here she has got dark circles around the eyes and we have to take that away as if it's a blank canvas. So let's do this. This is a concealer brush that I am using and you want to make sure that you already have your moisturizer and eye cream on and you also want to apply it on the top as well. Because the top also has that natural dark circles. Okay. And the idea behind wedding day makeup is you want to keep it very natural because the wedding gown is, you know, 90% of the time in white or off-white or a very light color. So if you wear too much makeup it can clash with your dress. Okay and then now I am going to the bottom, open for me and notice that the color of concealer I am using has a little bit more yellow in it. Yellow actually neutralizes red and you know purple and blue under tone and in particularly the eye area has a lot of that. And then next, foundation. I have picked a cover-up stick which is a lot easier and also she doesn't need to apply foundation all over her face. Well, we are going to start with the T zone area to cover up these little red spots here. You want to make sure that you are using a foundation brush and not a sponge or your fingers or q-tips. Because this will make the application a lot easier. It also is more sanitary. Okay. Now we will go down to the nose. That is where we have some sun spots and some redness there. You can see there. You can turn this face on me. Perfect. And then I am going to go with the cheeks a little bit here. Her skin over here is already nice. It goes well with the throat. So you don't want to apply foundation there. You just want the foundation to match with the skin tone. So I am just ticking away some of the redness here and right after you apply your moisturizer you want to put a makeup primer because that will hold the makeup throughout the day. Okay, so now we are going to go to the chin area. The T zone is usually in this area and that's where you get a lot of the unevenness and the red. So you want to make sure to start with that first and not anywhere else. I find that with fair complexion, light to fair complexion or fair to light complexion the red shows up a lot more than the medium skin tones. In the next step I am going do the powder to set it. I recommend using loose powder because it works into your pores a lot better than press. We are going to set the foundation and we are just going to lightly puff the powder on the face. We use here, this is a powder brush. This is what you are going to need to apply it. You also want to set the eyes as well because you have some concealer there and later on before we apply eye makeup I will show you how to do that. And lastly, I am going to put blush on Kelly but she has got really nice complexion so I am probably not going to put blush but I am going to use a bronzer. With bronzers you have to be very careful so that the face doesn't look orange. In Kelly's case I am using it as a blush. So I am dotting a little bit on the apple of her cheek. If you see it here she has got a nice, natural glow and that is really the idea and that is how you prep the complexion for fair to medium skin tone. And next, I am going to show you how to apply eye makeup.
