Moe began his career behind the bar 13 years ago on the beaches of Acapulco Mexico. Since then, Not only has he bartended all over the world, but competed in and won various local, national and international competions in speed, accuracy and flair. He has been teaching his trade at the Professional Bartending School in Arlington Va since 2002. He has also taught bartending for the O.A.S (Organization of American States) in the Caribbean, as well as led alcohol based seminars for the Smithsonian institution in Washington D.C. and made various t.v appearances exhibiting flair. In 2005 Moe took his show from behind the bar, and put it on stage where he and his flair bartending friends put on their "POUR BOY" show. The show is a flair bartending exhibiton, where he and his friends perform in an all night event showcasing their bottle flipping talents. When asked what the most important part of bartending, Moe responds "Service...good service will always make up for a horrible drink, but a great drink will never make up for bad service.".

Transcripts
Moe Harris: Hi guys, my name is Moe Harris and Im here at the Professional Bartending School in Arlington, Virginia and today I'm going to show just a nice little pouring technique. If you have ever been to a busy night club, you have been doing college bar, surely you have seen bartenders picking up three or four bottles at the same time and it looks awesome. It looks like an incredible feat of strength, I assure you guys its not that difficult, in kind of week, I can do it myself. Its a really simple technique.
Basically, you have four bottles in front of you, which you need to know if your thumbs are nice and strong, they are very strong little finger there. So, what you going to do is you are pretty much going to grab the two in the middle with your thumbs. I mean just grab them like that. Now, your index finger, thats going to -- its almost going to be like a separator between the other bottles. You dont want them crash together and break in.
So that you got your thumbs and you got your index fingers. Then you are going to take your other three fingers thats get left and with those three fingers you going to grab the other bottle and you are going to take all that and you are going to make a fist and you are going to squeeze it all together.
Now, again this stuff can be really heavy, especially when the bottles are full. So, what a lot of bartenders do, or where they tend to go wrong I should say, is by lifting and pouring right in, thats heavy. All Im going to do is get it to the level of the cup and just twist my wrists and I'm right in, just like that.
Now, something that is really important is really just pouring right into the cup, when you grab them these poor spots might be facing in different directions. So, you are pouring too high up, you could miss and thats no good. So, by pouring it right into the cup, whichever way to pouring it you guarantee to get it ready to the glass.
