It all started in my early teens washing cars in the back of my fathers barber shop. After eight years in the United States Secret Service, I made an unsuccessful run for the United States House of Representatives in 1980. In 1981, I decided to start my own business, Pro Clean of Tysons Corner, Inc. After 26 years of success, we are still washing and detailing cars from Volkswagons to Rolls Royces and have grown to be one of the largest detailing businesses in the Washington DC area. “It takes more than a bucket and a hose to clean a car”, Washingtonian Magazine, 1986

Hi, I am Michael, Pro Clean of Tysons Corner, Automotive Cleaning Specialist for 25 years. I am going to show you how to do a basic car wash, on a Bentley from our friends at Capital Dream Cars.

Some of things you are going to need to get started here will be a nice wool mitt that you can buy at any auto parts place, nice rubber gloves, heavy rubber gloves, and two buckets. Now, I want two, because we are going to use one bucket for doing the tires and the rims and they have stronger chemicals, so you are going to need to use it, you are not going to want to use that on the body of the car.

Get a tire brush and heavy detergent, basic detergent is something like 409 or Fantastic, thats all you really need to use. The car wash, we get big volumes, you can buy at again at any auto parts place, any foaming kind of car wash, do not use kitchen detergent. It is terrible for the waxing on the cars. Get yourself another bucket like I said, with another mitt, to do the body of the car, because you dont want to use the heavy chemicals on that.

So, let's get started.
