It all started in my early teens washing cars in the back of my fathers barber shop. After eight years in the United States Secret Service, I made an unsuccessful run for the United States House of Representatives in 1980. In 1981, I decided to start my own business, Pro Clean of Tysons Corner, Inc. After 26 years of success, we are still washing and detailing cars from Volkswagons to Rolls Royces and have grown to be one of the largest detailing businesses in the Washington DC area. “It takes more than a bucket and a hose to clean a car”, Washingtonian Magazine, 1986

Hi! I am Michael, Pro Clean of Tysons Corner. Today, were going to show you how to wash a car.
These are some of things we have to do to get started. First of all you need get is a hose, with a good nozzle on it, a nice clean bucket, the wash mitt, and your concentrated car wash that you can buy at any auto repair shop. Do no use your dish washing liquid at home, it removes wax, its not good for the finish on your car. Spend a couple of dollars and buy a bottle of this, it will last for a long time, its very concentrated. You need a pair of rubber gloves.
Let's get started here. Take a cap full of your liquid car wash, pour it in, thats all you need, like I said, its extremely concentrated. Get your mitt in the water, get some water in there, you want to get it filled, you want to get it about halfway filled, so the suds come up. Get your gloves on, you can use your kitchen washing gloves, or you can use -- buy a heavy duty pair like these here.
Make sure all your windows are up, your doors are closed, you got the soap, heres your soap that you got in there and let's get the car all soaked down with some water, ready. Make sure you get inside the rims, underneath the wheel wells, everywhere, get it nice and wet.
Okay. Now we have the car all wet, thats how you prep it, now let's get ready to wash it.
