Hi, I am Margaret Flis and I am showing you how to make a bubble bowl arrangement. Youre now going to prepare your flowers. Each stem needs to be clean, you want to take all the foliage off thats going to fall below the waterline in your vase. These Hydrangea are already done, sometimes you will see a lots of leaves, just strip every thing off, so you have nice, clean stems like this. Gerber Daisies or the germinis, these have straws on them to keep them straight, just remove the straws, these are clean stems, you dont have to worry about preparing them at all.
The roses, you will need to strip the foliage, take all the foliage off, and then using your knife youre going to go through and just nick off each of those thorns, so you have nice, clean stem. Just like that. Your greenery, the Bupleurum, is actually also a type of flower. You will need to prepare this. This has lots of greenery below the foliage line, so go ahead and take all of this off. This is a nice lateral, you can leave that, take all the greens off and anything that doesnt look good, you will want to go through and do all of this. Your Salal or lemon leaf as its called, you will want to take off all of the foliage thats down low and leave yourself with just two or three nice leaves up at the top. Your Variegated Pitt has again nice long laterals, youre going to take your laterals, strip everything off, just leave yourself these nice little florets at the top. Again, just strip that off. So, these are all of the flowers and greenery that were going to use. I will give you a few minutes to get caught up and we will be back with preparing your vase.
