Carol Olmstead: I am Carol Olmstead and my company is called Feng Shui For Real Life. Today I am showing you how to spring clear with Feng Shui. Now we are in your family room and this is a room where we often accumulate a lot of clutter and need a lot of clearing because we spend so much time here. One of the things I find is that people accumulate a lot of newspapers. Best thing to do is get rid of them. I can guarantee that if you havent read a newspaper today, its unlikely you are going to read it tomorrow because you are probably seeing the news on TV or heard it on the radio. Best to get rid of all of your collections, maybe just keeping todays paper.
Another thing people tend to do in their family room is display their collections, especially collections they are working on and plan to do something with. Maybe you have got photos or maybe you have got cards that you are planning to put in in an album. A better way to spring clear is to scan them in, then you will always have them. You can put them on media that will last forever and then you dont have to save all of them. Another thing to take a look at in your family room is, do you have unfinished projects? Probably by now you are never going to finish them. Choose at least one and move it out of your room. One way to keep your clutter under control in your family room is to get a pretty basket or a tray and keep todays newspaper, one magazine that you are reading and maybe a book on your coffee table.
Now that we have finished in your family room, lets go check out one of your bathrooms.
