Carol Olmstead: I am Carol Olmstead and my company is Feng Shui For Real Life. Today I am showing you how to spring clear with Feng Shui. Now we are in the bedroom. In Feng Shui, we believe a bedroom should be for rest and romance only. That means we need to get the work out of here and anything that distracts you. So first lets take a look at whats on your night table. You should have just one book that you are reading, not a stack of books. It makes you feel like you have too little time to accomplish things. Lets remove everything thats work related from your night tables. The next thing to take a look at is whats around you to distract you from rest and romance. This laundry basket is certainly a distraction. Lets get it out of the bedroom. All the decoration around you should be romantic, paired and coupled to remind you of your relationship. So I recommend we remove anything from your bedroom that relates to a past romance, especially a failed past romance. Lets put things around you that are in pairs and remind you of what you and your spouse or your partner love to do together. Another thing when you are clearing your bedroom is to take a look at what you have under your bed. There is a tendency, when you are clearing your rooms, to shove it all under the bed. In Feng Shui, we recommend nothing under your bed, so the good energy can flow all around you and encourage good peaceful sleep and a good relationship. If you must store things under you bed because you dont have a lot of closet space, just be sure to store only soft close under your bed, soft things, not your exercise equipments that you never use. Feng Shui is all about moving energy in your home. Some of things I have shown you today will help you move your energy this spring. But keep in mind that clutter clearing, removing things from your home that you dont need is good all year long and you can use these suggestions throughout the year.
