Michael Minthorne: Hi! I am Michael Minthorne. We are at Velocity Sports Performance. I am joined today by Dan Caracciolo, Director for Golden Boot Soccer. We will be showing you how to perform different soccer movements correctly. We will be going through how to be flexible, how to run and jump properly, how to be agile, how to change direction, and how to cool down from a training session.

For this training, you will not even use soccer ball. You will need, however, a pair of good athletic shoes, preferably cross trainers. You also need athletic clothing, plenty of space, and plenty of water.

I will be showing you how to use cones and agility ladder when I discuss how to be more agile. Some safety tips to keep in mind. Make sure you are healthy and injury free before you engage in any exercise routine. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, and some of these exercises may require supervision, so you may want to work with the partner.

So before we begin, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I played soccer my entire life including four years at Marymount University. I have trained soccer athletes ranging from all ages and skill levels from beginner to professional. I am currently the Sport Performance Director here at the Velocity Center in Alexandria, Virginia.

So let's get started improving our athletic performance on the soccer field.
