Pirooz Sarshar: Hi I am Pirooz Sarshar co-founder of the Grooming Lounge. Today I have been teaching you about the basics of men's skincare. In this segment, we are going to cover anti-aging. What does anti-aging means? Well, think of it this way when you first purchase a mattress you know how the springs are basically firm and full. When the mattress gets older in ages you will notice that the spring started to loosen up. Well that's what happens with your skin. As we age, we start to lose collagen, we start to lose elastin and we lose that suppleness. So if you look at your photographs from years ago and compare it from today, you will notice that your skin is a lot looser. Well, can we reverse this process? Well it depends how you look at it. If you perform plastic surgery yes, you can stop the signs of aging. Is there such a thing as anti-aging? No, you can't stop aging because we are all going to get old but you can age gracefully and with quality. And the best time to start, believe it or not is not -- well you can start if you are already older in your 40s or 50s or 60s, but what we recommend for you to do to start is early on in life because the earlier you start it, the better the results you get. Take a look at a picture of yourself from five years ago, from ten years ago. You are going to notice that your skin and your face look more supple. You are going to notice that everything was sort of hold back and as you age and when you lose the collagen and you lose your elastin, you are going the notice that the skins gets looser and it starts to sort of drupe down. Well, how do we prevent this from happening or how can we stop this measure? Plastic surgery, some people say and I have seen results, works. But there are serums and there are products you can use to age more gracefully because there is no such thing as anti-aging. We all are going to age and we are all going to get older. But there are products in the market that can help us basically age with better quality and these are serums like these right here. So serums like these right here that basically come in little drops, can make a huge difference. This is a vitamin C infuse serum, alright. Now where do you place this serum or where do you put this or how do you go about this and what time of day do you do this? The other thing we recommend in the morning before you leave your house is to use an SPF. Sun damage is the number one cause of aging. The UVA and UVB lights are very, very, very, harsh on your skin. The thing to remember is that you are not just taking care of your face. You are also going to be taking care of your face, your neck and your eyes. And watch I use my dropper just like this. Alright, and this is a vitamin C infuse serum. Now, when should you start using anti-aging products? Most people assume or a lot of men assume that you should use these products when you are older. What we recommend is that if you start using it at a younger age, you are going to get a bigger bang for your buck. In other words, it will cost you a lot less later in life.
