Pressure Washing - Safety Measures and Equipment

com. Today, we are going to be talking about how to pressure wash the exterior of your home. In this segment, we are going to be talking about safety and your recommended equipment.

So you want to make sure you are wearing proper materials. First, you start with eye glasses to ensure nothing gets inside of your eyes. You want sturdy boots to make sure your don't slip. You want water rain gear to make sure that you are closed, don't get wet. Lastly, you want to make sure that the clothes you are wearing, you don't mind damaging because you will be using bleach.

Another step to remember is that you will be using a pressure washer. We recommend 3,000 PSI. This is strong enough to put a hole in your property or in your skin. So be very careful.

So here is a list of materials that you will need for pressure washing next year of your home. The first thing you are going to need is a regular garden hose. Another item that we recommend is a degreaser. This is used for scrubbing the black lines off of your gutters. You will also need a bleaching agent to remove the mold and mildew from the siding. You will also need a pressure washer.

Now this pressure washer is about 3,000 PSI and three to four gallons a minute. You can rent this from your everyday hardware store for about $70 a day or you can purchase it for about $1,200. Here is a pressure washing gun. On the end of the gun is where you place the tips. Here we have the white tip. The white tip is used for cleaning brick or concrete around the house. Here we have a black tip. The black tip is what we use for rinsing down the house after we have applied the detergent.

Next, we have a house washing tip. This is used for applying the detergent up to the very top parts of the house. This will spray between three and four floors off the ground. Next, we have a chemical hose. This is used that you would put in the detergent and to the machine to ensure the machine is sucking the material to apply to the house.

An important feature, here is your everyday tarp. This tarp is used for covering plants and shrubs to ensure that the detergent doesn't get on those plants. Now this is a great tip for washing the side of your house. This extends out three floors, so you can scrub any of the areas that didn't come off by spraying it. You don't have to buy this, you can also get this at your local hardware store in about $40 for the extension and $5-$10 for the soft bristle brush. Make sure that you use a soft bristle brush because a hard bristle brush may cause damage.

The last item is the pressure washing hose, this connects to the pressure washing wand and to the pressure washing machine. In our next segment, we are going to be talking about how to start a pressure washer.
