Steve Chapman: Hi! I am Steve Chapman with Elite Pressure Cleaning and washmydeck.

com. Today, we are discussing how to pressure wash the exterior of your home. In this segment, we will be discussing the first step in pressure washing your home. First, apply tarps along the bushes. We generally do two sides of the house at a time. So cover the plants and the shrubs with a clean tarp. Make sure that you put the chemical hose inside the detergent. Apply the pressure in a mist fashion, kind of, like a soft rain starting at the top of the house, allowing the detergent to run down the siding.

Then gently starting at the bottom, as the detergent is coming from the top, start at the bottom and this creates a bit of a friction that helps to alleviate some of the dirt, mold and mildew.

After you have rinsed down two sides of the house, walk back to the beginning and that's where you begin the second step which we will be talking about in our next segment, which is scrubbing your siding.
