Deborah Joy Block: Hi! I am Deborah Joy Block and this is my husband Brian Block with the Wedding Dance Specialists. We are here to help you today to prepare for your first dance at your wedding. We are now going to cover the exit off the floor. It is so important to maintain your composure as you exit the dance floor. As it is often the case that you might be quite nervous and well aware of your audience's presence. So if you have some choreographed move that can help you to get off the floor, you'll look calm, cool and composed. After all, you never want to let them see you sweat. So what happens is that we've finished our Oversway Dip and we come up from the dip, we are facing our partner. And the gentleman will raise his hand, lead the lady under his arm to face the audience. This signals that the dance has been completed. The lady will pick up her dress with her free arm and the gentleman will place his hand behind his back. With our legs together, the gentleman will bow and the lady will place her leg behind and give a curtsy. Then we'll turn and acknowledge each other. So the gentleman will step towards the lady, kissing her fingertips as the lady will then curtsy to him to thank him for the pleasure of this dance.

Then the gentleman will offer his hand to stabilize her hand as he escorts her off the floor by placing her fingertips on his forearm and walking off confidently, smiling, making eye contact with your guests as you walk off the floor. Coming up in our next segment, we are going to put all the moves together and the choreography to show you what your beautiful first dance can look like.
