Hello, I am Terry Dean from Terry Deans Dance Studio. Today, we are going to do the tango. The tango is the most dramatic of all dances. It is considered the dancers dance amongst ballroom dancers, and it has been around for a long time and most dancers when they get into it, they really love it.
I have been teaching this for 30 years and really when the dancers really started getting talented, you can see it first in their tangos because they start really getting dramatic, and they start getting their head snaps and all the things that actually makes tango look really good. Remember that all of the dances that we teach are going to be physical dances, so its basically based on what your body does. So, you have to make sure you are in good shape, and you have to kind of do some exercises, just basic standard exercises. So, make sure you are in good shape that you can stretch and do all the different things that we need to do. Remember that the most important part of all of the dances is to get the proper look because tango has a fiery look, but you have to have the right costumes; the red and the black and the look that you are going to have to be the tango dancers. So, what we are going to do now is we are going to teach the basic pattern of the tango.
