Terry Dean: Hi! I am Terry Dean from Terry Dean Dance Studio. Today we are working on Salsa. Now I am going to work a little bit on the posture and the frame of the Salsa, so you can really get that Latin look that we are trying to achieve. In the posture, in the Salsa, we are going to take our body weight and shift it towards each other in the balls of the feet, so that our weight is going to be leaning into your other partner so we are going to be little bit more forward than normal and we are going to make this top a little rounder so we are kind of in to each other. The basic idea of the Salsa, is almost like a challenging each other, so you are kind of dancing at your partner. So rather than just dancing in aloof thing you are really connected with your partner so in order to do that you have to kind of lean in a little bit, hold kind of little bit tighter and a little bit closer, get forward and do your basic step. Again rotating, keeping your body moving but your arms not changing. So this top has to stay pretty still. So that when I turn she will turn. So the basic posture in the Salsa is very pretty simple but you do want to get that forward lean, get your body moving hold that nice and tight and you will get that nice little Latin look and gives you lot of rhythm through your hips and upper body and that gives you the basic look that we are trying to archive in the Salsa. Next we are going to go from there to the basic open break and underarm turn.
