Morgan Just: Hi! My name is Morgan Just. I'm professional Skimboarder with Victoria Skimboards. Victoria Skimboards has been around for 30 some odd years. Now they're pretty much the best board company out there. Today we're going to teach you how to skimboard.

We'll go over how to choose the right equipment, how to select a good location as well as some safety considerations for skimboarding. Then we'll go over the basic skills for skimboarding, some drills you can do to improve and a few tricks to practice for advancing your skills. You don't really need much in the way of equipment, all you need is the Skimboard itself, a tail pad, the swimsuit or wet suit and some sunscreen.

Now, there are some safety considerations before you go out and try the sport. Conditions on the beach and waves can be hazardous. There can be rip currents to deal with, so you need to be familiar with that. Also, you need to be in pretty good physical shape to do this. This is a sport where you can easily get injured, if you're not in good shape.

Before we get started, I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a professional Skimboarder. I've been skimboarding for 13 years and I've been -- for 7 of those years. I've gotten lots of first places, second places, third places, won a few tours. I teach skimboarding on a regular basis. So, if you guys are ready, let's get started.
