Hi, I am Geremi Weiss, Im an International gold medalist in figure skating for the US. Today were here to learn basic hockey drills. Raya (ph) here is going to show us how to do crossovers in a circle, but were going to add a little twist to it. So, were going to cross in front, and then were going to cross behind with our right foot. So, here we go. Hockey stick is in the circle and now Im just going to follow her, making sure her hands are twisted into the circle, watch her right foot crossed in front and crossed behind, and every time you stroke, its a big inside edge, push, excellent, lean into the circle. Lets go the other way, very nice. Left over right, that left foot is going to cross in front and behind, good. Crisscross in front, crisscross behind, good, lean into the circle, excellent. You can do them a little bit faster if you wish; front, back, almost like your feet are running, depending on your hockey skater, you can do them slow or fast. That is a basic hockey drill, practicing crossovers with a little twist to it, its a cross in front and a cross behind.
