Kathy Ameche: Hi! My name is Kathy Ameche. I am the Author of The Woman Road Warrior'; a woman's guide to business travel. In this video series, I am going to tell you about some of my experiences and how you can get the most of your business travel with the least stress. Whether you are a first time traveler, someone who's been away from travel for a while or an old pro, we have tips for all of you. I am going to talk about the importance of having a plan A, and a plan B. Then, I will give you some tips for surviving your business travel on an airplane, including tips for what to do if you are stuck with a long delay. Next, I will discuss the alternative transportation methods that are available, such as car rentals, cabs, public transportations and limos. Then, I will talk about the basics of your hotel stay. How to choose your room? And how to sleep comfortably when you are away from home? Next, I will give you some packing tips so, that you can always make sure you have what you need and not overpack.

Since, you probably do most of your travel by plane, I will also go through step-by-step, how to make it from getting your boarding pass to claiming your luggage, as well as some packing tips for carry on. Next, I will provide advice for your business trip when traveling alone, with a colleague, and with a group. Before, we get started with the details, let's talk about what's probably the most important concern for women travelers. Safety. Think about it. You are away from your home, putting your trust in people and places that you may never have seen before, because we are committed to your safety, we will interject safety tips throughout the different segments of this video. Safety should be always be a priority when traveling. 98% of women, who have traveled for business, have had their safety threatened. Remember, women who travel for business can be a part of a team or have male counterparts but they are alone at certain times during their trip. You can't put a price on feeling safe. To protect yourself, be sure to have an ICE or In Case Of Emergency Entry, programmed into your cellphone, so that emergency professionals know who to contact, in case you are incapable of giving that information.

Before we begin, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am the Traveler in Chief of womanroadwarrior.

com and Developer of the MicciMicci Travel Accessories. I have logged nearly 2 million miles of business travel over my last 20 years, as an Executive in Corporate America and I am going to share with you, some of what I have learned. So, let's get started preparing you for your business trip
