Tom Nardone: Hi! I'm Tom from ExtremePumpkins.

com. We're carving a Cannibal Pumpkin, which is a pretty intimating thing to have on your porch on Halloween night. Well, we got our big pumpkin and it's all gutted and ready to carve, and we got out little pumpkin, and it's got the scared sort of stupefied look on its face.

So, now we have to decide how bigger the mouth needs to be on our big pumpkin, so we can jam this sucker right in there. I don't use sticks, or nails, or anything to hold this pumpkin in place, it's just held in place by the fact that, the mouth is the right size.

So, I do use two tools for that. One my little pumpkin, two I'll hold it in the right spot. Now, I try to position it exactly where I want it and I trace around it. Try not to trace too big of a hole, because as my daddy told me, it's easier to make a hole bigger than it is to make the hole smaller. In fact, you can't make the hole smaller. This is not a small pumpkin and we need to use big tools on a big pumpkin. So I am going to use my drywall saw, and try to cut this out. You can see I'm trying again to make like the hole, sort of conical, and that is because, I want to be able to jam the pumpkin in there.

So first check, it's still little small. So, I need to remove some more material, but I don't want to remove too much, because then our pumpkin won't stay in place. That's getting pretty close, I'm going to start carving the rest of the mouth. So, I'm going to draw that on with dry-erase marker and we will give him like a, little kind of angry grand you know, that will be funny looking.

Then it's got to have some big fangs otherwise he won't be able to eat another pumpkin. And that should do it, I finished carving it up. Give that a mean expression. Nice pumpkins don't eat other pumpkins. Alright, I think this is going to do it. There we go.

So not a happy place to be. So now, we got this pumpkin in place, we got to draw the rest of the face. It just doesn't look right without a nose and eyes. Maybe tall, slender, devilish one. Maybe some mean sort of devil eyes, snake sort of eye. Maybe I'll draw this other eye down here, so to make it sort of symmetric.

Alright, time to make some nostrils and eyes. I love this drywall saw. Just like carving a little pumpkin except, bigger pumpkin, bigger tools. It takes a little muscles to carve a pumpkin like this. You've to be careful when you're doing the pupil because, you could break off the whole, this whole eye if you push too hard.

Okay, before we put the little pumpkin back in its mouth, I'm going to do a little bit of work on its eyes to make those yellow and then its teeth to make those yellow and really have him jump out of its face a little bit. So for that, I am using this Angle Grinder. I mean you could use this little shaving tool, or you could use that little Dremel tool, but we're using this bad boy. I like that bloodshot, look it leaves with all sorts of veins that run through the pumpkin.

Now, I'm going to do the teeth. For the teeth I go a little deeper, it get a little whiter color than the eyes, but either way, I like it. I like this tool, it goes fast and gives you good result.

Alright, so now that we have finished up our fangs, we're going to stuff the pumpkin back into where it's little happy place there, or unhappy place as you might say. When we come back, we're going to add some finishing touches, that will really make this pumpkin set up pop. Put a smile on your trick-or-treaters faces and we're going to talk about preservation techniques, to make it last as long as possible.
