Aisha Alves: Hi, I am Aisha with Picture Perfect Makeup, and were here at PRatPartners Salon in Washington DC to show you some of the professional tricks that we use everyday on location.
Today, were going to talk about mens grooming for special events. Weve talked about skin fitness which will help you prep your skin, but every now and then, guys are going to have some special occasions where theyre going to want to look a little bit more polished and a little bit more put together. So, what I am going to do is show you some tricks that you can do to look a little bit more polished, but look completely natural.
What were going to start with is this cover stick. Now, by cover stick I mean a product that acts like a foundation or concealer, but its all in one. This is great for guys because its no fuss and no mess. All you have to do is open the product, and this will act as a foundation, a concealer, a cover-up, anything you want.
Now, just to want to keep it looking really natural, were only going to apply it in the places where Fernando really needs it. So, anywhere you see any extra redness like right here on the nose, you can go ahead and blend that in, and see that looks completely natural. You cant even see that its there. Thats the effect that you want. So, make sure you have the right color. I am just going to do this with my finger. You dont need a special brush or anything. And when you blend with your finger, make sure that youre kind of tapping and blending, so the make up really blends into the skin.
So, once youve got in your problem areas covered up, you also want to pay attention to under the eyes. Everybody has a little bit of darkness under the eyes and this can sometimes adds you a tired look or even an aging effect, and thats something you definitely dont want. So what were going to do is take the same cover stick, and apply this very lightly under the eye. And you can already see a huge difference, this eye looks cleaner, wider, and more awake, and you are done with your cover stick.
